Ripple withdraws cross-appeal against SEC - Ending years of courtroom battles

  • Ripple has decided to withdraw its cross-appeal in the nearly five-year legal battle against the SEC.
  • The second joint motion for settlement between the SEC and Ripple was denied by Judge Torres on the 26th. The judge contested the motion to vacate the injunction against Ripple.
  • Ripple is expected to accept the initial civil penalty of $125 million, and it is highly likely that the permanent injunction will remain in effect.
