When Should You Buy Bitcoin? The Most Skeptical Person Presents a Ruthless Idea

Abstract generation in progress

Michael Saylor's Bitcoin strategy has once again caused a stir in public opinion after a software producer revealed that they had purchased 3,081 BTC for approximately 357 million dollars, at an average price of 115,829 dollars. Currently, the company holds 632,457 BTC, valued at over 71 billion dollars, with an average price of 73,527 dollars. Based on these figures, the Strategy still increased by more than 52% despite the recent market fluctuations. Before the announcement, Saylor said that Bitcoin was being sold, but everything was still fine until Peter Schiff entered the debate about Bitcoin. Buying Bitcoin? It might be a good idea, but according to Schiff, the real opportunity won't come until companies like Strategy go bankrupt. For him, the only attractive entry point would be when companies heavily invested in Bitcoin have to sell off a large portion of their holdings, which would be like a sell-off.

That criticism aligns with the growing concerns about how companies handle their "Bitcoin treasury". Risks of Bitcoin Vault Companies This model typically involves issuing shares at a premium, converting the proceeds into Bitcoin, and tracking the valuation increase through a feedback loop. It works well when the premium is good, but once it gradually decreases, the capital flow will stop, and the setup process will start to resemble a margin transaction with no room for error. Currently, Strategy remains a big name in this field. The company's market capitalization is currently at 99 billion dollars, with an enterprise value of nearly 113 billion dollars, and the amount of Bitcoin held by the company accounts for nearly three-quarters of that total. Nevertheless, Schiff's viewpoint still stands: the best time to buy Bitcoin may not be when Saylor says so, but when the system supporting corporate bonds built on BTC finally breaks down.
