Bitcoin OG Converts $2.22B BTC to ETH, Stakes $1.13B Worth
Gate News bot message, a major cryptocurrency conversion has been reported by The Unit (@hyperunit) team. A Bitcoin OG has executed a substantial asset transfer, converting 19,663 BTC (valued at $2.22 billion) into 455,672 ETH through two separate entities.
The report details that 279,000 ETH (equivalent to $1.13 billion) has been staked. Additionally, the OG retains 176,616 ETH and maintains some BTC holdings on HyperLiquid, with plans for further BTC-to-ETH conversions.
The Unit team clarified in a related post: "As many have seen over the last few days, there are several very large wallets trading via Unit on HL. To be 100% clear, the user is unknown to us, and independently decided that this was the best decentralized venue for them to trade on."
